WQB Mold Removal is a Shepherdsville, KY-based remediation company built around one idea: tell the customer the truth about what's in their walls, then fix it properly the first time.
Our field techs are equipped with negative-air machines, HEPA filtration units, and borescopes for checking inside wall cavities without tearing the whole thing open unnecessarily.
Licensed, insured, and background-checked before they ever knock on your door, our team treats your home like it's the one they'd want worked on.
Our approach starts with a moisture map of the whole affected area, because treating one wall while an adjacent cavity keeps feeding the problem just means a return visit six months later.
Beyond the remediation itself, we can coordinate with your insurance adjuster and provide the paperwork most Shepherdsville, KY carriers expect for a mold-related claim.
Not every mold problem announces itself with a visible black patch on the ceiling.
That earthy odor in a closet or crawl space is often the first real clue, long before anything is visible. Candles and air fresheners might mask it for an afternoon, but the smell almost always returns by the next day.
Any Shepherdsville property with a prior roof leak, burst pipe, or flooding event is at higher risk if the drying wasn't done professionally. We can check behind an old repair with a moisture meter in under an hour to put your mind at ease either way.
Sneezing, coughing, or headaches that improve when you leave the house and return when you're back inside are a classic mold indicator. Air quality testing can confirm or rule out mold as the cause before you spend money chasing the wrong culprit.
Green, black, or gray speckling around windows, vents, or baseboards is often just the visible tip of a larger colony. A quick photo sent to our office can sometimes help us gauge urgency before you even schedule a visit.
From a single bathroom to a flooded crawl space, our Shepherdsville crews scale the response to match the actual problem.
Our emergency teams arrive with containment barriers and air scrubbers ready to deploy the moment they walk in. Extraction equipment and industrial dehumidifiers go in immediately to slow the moisture before it ever has a chance to seed a new colony.
Once remediation is complete, we run post-remediation verification testing so you have documentation the job actually worked. We'll also flag any structural repair the job needs and put you in touch with a trusted Shepherdsville tradesperson if it's outside our scope.
We provide documentation packages commercial clients can hand directly to insurers or tenants. We're comfortable working evenings or weekends on commercial jobs when that's what keeps a Shepherdsville business running without interruption.
Buying a Shepherdsville home? A pre-purchase mold inspection can catch problems a standard home inspection misses entirely. A written inspection report is available for real estate transactions, refinancing, or your own peace of mind about a Shepherdsville property.
Attic mold often traces back to poor roof ventilation or bathroom exhaust fans venting into the attic instead of outside. We often find the crawl space is the real source of a musty smell upstairs, even in Shepherdsville homes where the visible living space looks perfectly clean.
Dehumidification recommendations and moisture monitoring can keep a treated space from becoming a repeat customer. Some Shepherdsville, KY clients set up an annual moisture check with us, especially in older homes with a history of basement dampness.
No surprises, no vague timelines — here's exactly what happens once you call +1-844-578-1604.
A quick phone conversation helps us bring the right equipment on the first visit instead of a second trip. Have a rough sense of when the problem started if you can — it helps us plan the visit.
This step tells us the true scope of contamination before we write a single number on a quote. You'll get a plain-language explanation of what we found before any decisions get made.
Negative air machines keep spores from traveling to unaffected rooms while the work is underway. We keep the work area as clean and orderly as the job allows throughout.
A final clearance test confirms spore counts are back to normal before we consider the job finished. We'll also walk the space with you so nothing gets signed off without your input.
We quote a flat rate before any work begins, so there's no surprise invoice waiting for you at the end.
Dispatch times in Shepherdsville typically run same-day for active issues, because we staff enough local technicians to avoid the two-week backlog other companies run.
Every job includes documented before-and-after testing, not just a verbal assurance that "it's handled."
And if something doesn't sit right after we leave, our satisfaction guarantee means we come back and make it right at no extra charge.
Plenty of companies will happily bill you for remediation on a repeat basis without ever mentioning the actual leak feeding the problem, and that's simply not how we operate in Shepherdsville, KY.
Local reputation matters more to a small Shepherdsville-area crew than a national franchise ever has to worry about, and that keeps us honest about scope, pricing, and timelines.
If regrowth tied to our workmanship shows up within the warranty window, we come back to your Shepherdsville property and fix it at no additional cost.

Testing typically takes a few business days, and you receive a written lab report with the results. Knowing the species matters because some, like Stachybotrys, call for stricter containment protocols than common surface mildew.
Coverage depends on your policy and the cause of the moisture, so we recommend calling your insurer, and we can supply documentation to support a claim. We're glad to speak directly with your adjuster if that helps move your Shepherdsville claim along faster.
A single bathroom or small closet can often be completed in a day, while larger crawl space or whole-home jobs may take three to five days. Drying time after water extraction can add a day or two before remediation itself even starts, depending on how saturated the materials were.
For most localized jobs, containment keeps the rest of the home livable, though we may recommend staying elsewhere for extensive whole-house treatment. We'll always tell you honestly if we think you should stay elsewhere rather than downplay it to keep the job simpler on our end.
Our containment and air scrubbing protocols are designed to protect the rest of the household while work is underway. Once we complete post-remediation testing and the numbers come back clean, the space is safe to use normally again.
Post-remediation testing confirms spore counts returned to normal, and our guarantee covers regrowth tied to our workmanship. We'll also give you practical advice on ventilation, dehumidifier use, or grading changes that can help prevent a repeat issue in your Shepherdsville property.

Remediation focuses on removing the active colony and correcting the moisture source so the environment no longer supports abnormal growth. What actually matters is whether your indoor levels match what's normal for outdoor air in Shepherdsville, KY, and testing confirms that.
Surface cleaning with bleach may remove visible staining but rarely reaches spores embedded in porous materials like drywall or subfloor. For small, non-porous surfaces a simple cleaning may be fine, but anything on drywall, wood, or carpet usually needs a professional look.
